LANDSCAPES

Terri is a landscape artist who sees poetry in the everyday; the rise and fall of prairie hills against a never ending sky; the glory of the sun setting over water and earth; the mountains reaching for the limitless wonder of the heavens. Terri seeks to convey her emotional and spiritual connection to what she sees around her through paint and canvas.

I use mainly acrylics and oil paints and love the scope of color and texture that paint enables. I paint both from photos and intuitively, losing myself in the emotion of the piece. I also enjoy exploring with mixed media to achieve unexpected results and effects.

Art has always been a part of my soul, strongly inspired by the wealth of beauty surrounding me growing up in Western Canada. From the expansive views of the prairies to the sheer majesty of the Rocky Mountains, everywhere I look there is something that speaks to my heart and cries out to be shared.
