I have always been drawn to paint as an expression of my experiences. Growing up on the prairies of Saskatchewan and Alberta gave me an immense fascination with the intersection of land and sky. Family holidays in the Rocky Mountains expanded that to include both the majesty of the mountains and the hidden jewels they hold.

I use mainly acrylics and love the scope of color and texture that paint enables. I paint both from photos and intuitively, losing myself in the emotion of the piece. I also enjoy exploring with mixed media to achieve unexpected results and effects.

I enjoy camping and hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these times in God's creation as well as the never ending variety of the skies around me. I love to capture those expansive vistas and the emotion they evoke at that one moment in time. I can step right back into the scene and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin or the chill of a misty morning.
